Back to School = Running Errands Sans Kid

By Shannon Smith • August 26th, 2008

The hardest part of having Andrew home over the summer was running errands. Especially shopping! What shouldn’t take too long would turn into a day long trip. Not to mention the pleas of “just one cheap toy.” I couldn’t even go to the grocery store for a gallon of milk without a temper tantrum and emotional break downs.

So today is the second day of school. I had some things I needed to do. So here’s my day.

  1. Stop at Sam’s Club for Pee Pee Pads
  2. Stop at Comcast to pay cable bill (and clear up account they messed up)
  3. Stop at Library to drop off books
  4. Stop at Grocery Store to pick up a few things

Timeline? Just over an hour.

Timeline if Andrew has been with me? At least 3 or 4 hours easily. Plus would have cost me at least another $5-10 at the store.
